The CITI no longer exists...

The Centre for Information Technology Innovation was a canadian research lab covering several fields in computer science. The haptic interface group particpated to the design of the Pantograph, a specific mouse giving force feedback to the user. The user can feel, in his/her hand, the stifness of a menu, the relief of a window, etc.
I investigated a new application of haptic devices: guiding user's hand towards different locations in the screen, in order to facilitate learning how to use a given software. I could therefore apply at CITI my specific coktail of expertise in Neural Networks, Physical Models, haptic interfaces and cognitive psychology.
